What is a Stroke?
A stroke, sometimes called a "brain attack," occurs when blood flow is cut off from a portion of the brain. When this happens, brain cells in that area are deprived of oxygen and begin to die. Depending on the area of the brain affected, this could result in memory loss or impaired muscle function. These symptoms could be temporary or long-lasting.
