The Cane and Able Stroke Recovery Group is one of the oldest and largest stroke clubs in the State of Michigan, and in the United States. We are also registered with the American Stroke Association.
Established January 14, 1982, the Cane and Able atroke Recovery Group is a nonprofit support organization that has always been a part of the Corewell Health System (formerly Beaumont Health). Our members include those who have had strokes and are in the process of recovery, as well as their family and friends. For over 42 years our focus as a stroke recovery group has remained the same:
Provide support and encouragement
Provide education about stroke and stroke recovery
Provide education about community-related issues
Provide recreation post-stroke
Provide socialization for community re-entry
Our content is provided for informational purposes only and is not intended as medical advice or as a substitute for the medical advice of a physician.
