Split Group Sharing - Stroke Survivors & Caregivers
Following a brief group update, members divided into separate discussions for stroke survivors and caregivers. In a safe and supportive environment, participants shared personal challenges, celebrated successes, exchanged practical advice, and encouraged one another. The conversations reflected the caring community that makes the Cane and Able Stroke Recovery Group so special.

They explored the stages and myths of grief, healthy coping strategies, ways to support others, and the importance of resilience. The compassionate presentation offered practical guidance and hope for anyone navigating loss and life's many transitions.

Internet Safety, Website, and Security Updates
Bob Richardson introduced the redesigned CaneAndAble.org website, highlighting its new features and resources for stroke survivors and caregivers. He also shared practical tips on internet safety and security before wrapping up with an engaging Q&A session.

It was a meaningful reminder that no one has to face the stroke journey alone.

Comorbid Conditions in Stroke
Macy Shupp and Brent Zahn from Corewell Health discussed common health conditions that can affect stroke recovery, including high blood pressure, high cholesterol, heart failure, anemia, depression, and dementia. They explained how managing these conditions through lifestyle changes, medications, and regular medical care can improve recovery and reduce the risk of future strokes.
